Former Stereo Kicks singer Jake Sims has been announced as an ambassador for teenage cancer charity Teens Unite.

Sims, who attended the charity's annual gala fundraising event, An Opulent Tale, in November, said of his appointment 'I'm honoured to be a part of such a worthwhile charity that is truly making a difference to the lives of young people. I fall within the age range of those that Teens Unite supports and it has really hit home that cancer can affect anyone; no matter how young or old you are. I've spent time with these young people and I've walked away feeling inspired by their hope, positivity and fun-loving attitude despite fighting such an illness. Without Teens Unite, this may be a completely different story'.
